Her hull design, by the in-house Maple Marine design team, features pilothouse windows that provide outstanding visibility from the inside helm station. The interior arrangement is up to you. The standard layout has a deck salon one can dance in with 6 and 1/2 feet headroom and windows that offer a panoramic view of the horizon. Please call for a complete optional equipment list and the availability of production slots.
The molds for the new Scotia 44 Deck salon / Pilot house cutter are now installed at Snyder’s yard in Dayspring, Nova Scotia.
She is an expedition type 44′ Cutter with self-tacking working Jib and Yankee. The main sail is on Furling Boom for easy single handing. She has completed sea trails in Bahamas since Feb. 2011 and is ready for production. Long waterline and moderate beam in combination with a sharp bow makes for a very sea kindly yacht. Something well appreciated in this windy season in Bahamas.
She is designed with long term cruising in mind. Dual engines, dual wheels and all other systems duplicated and separated improve redundancy and safety.
The 360 degree view and elevated dinette allows for a panoramic sun set/anchor watch/ /motoring passage in comfort in all weather. Inside helm station and semi custom set up allows for special interiors to suit the owner. She is ABYC compliant and CE Cat. A (unlimited ocean).
